Cozy Up to a Romantic Dine Out for the Cure Experience at Bar Bodega in Little Italy

Susan G. Komen San Diego welcomes Bar Bodega to our Dine Out for the Cure team! Bar Bodega has pledged 25% of their lunch and dinner business to go toward local breast health services and support for uninsured and underinsured patients and their families. Bar Bodega Chorizo Deviled Eggs Recipe (Yields 30 halves)


  • 15 hard boiled eggs
  • slice longways and scoop out the yolks into a bowl
  • 1 tbsp of sea salt
  • 1 tbsp of chili oil
  • any brand will do
  • 2 tbsp sherry vinaigrette
  • 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups of mayo
  • 1 tbsp of freshly chopped parsley
  • Chili flakes to taste depending on how much heat you like
  • Spanish chorizo chopped or sliced for topping
  • Freshly grated manchego cheese for topping
  • Micro cilantro for garnish

In a food processor or blender combine:

Egg yolks, salt, chili oil, sherry vinaigrette, lemon juice, mayo, parsley, and chili flakes.

Evenly distribute the yolk mixture into the egg halves. Top with manchego cheese and chorizo. Garnish with micro cilantro and chili oil. Admire your creation and then DEVOUR.

For one delicious day, local restaurants, bakeries and coffeehouses across San Diego pledge to participate in Susan G. Komen San Diego’s annual Dine Out for the Cure. This event unites local restaurants with Komen San Diego’s supporters during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The money raised helps women and men who are fighting breast cancer every day. We are determined to save lives through our work in laboratories, in neighborhoods, with lawmakers and globally to tend to the needs of people facing this disease.
