Only if they are registered Susan G. Komen San Diego Race for the Cure® participants. We don’t currently support the ability for friends to fundraise on behalf of participants.

The application gets updated every few hours. Depending on when the donation came through it may not be reflected yet. If you would like it to update immediately, you can click on the refresh link on the application and it will update the information in 2-3 minutes.

 6. Why am I seeing messages on my Facebook profile about receiving a donation when I see no change in my San Diego Race fundraising account?
Have you recently changed your fundraising goal? That could trigger a notification.

We will send you an e-mail message each time an online or offline donation is made to you. If you want to disable the Facebook message that appears on your profile, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Facebook.
  2. In the upper-right corner, next to your name (and near the search), hover over the word Settings, scroll down and click on Application Settings.
  3. You will see a list of all applications you have added; you should see the Komen San Diego Race application listed.
  4. Select Edit Settings next to the application.
  5. A small dialog box will pop up; choose Additional Permissions
  6. Uncheck Publish recent activity (one line stories) to my wall.
  7. Uncheck Access my data even when I'm not using the application.

 7. How can I make the Komen San Diego Race application one of my bookmarks?
Facebook allows up to sixapplications to be bookmarked for quick reference. These bookmarks appear in the lower left corner of your Facebook screen. To make the Susan G. Komen San Diego Race for the Cure® application one of your bookmarks, click on Applications in the lower left-hand corner. You can drag and drop the San Diego Race for the Cure application into the section labeled Bookmarks.

 8. Can I fundraise using Facebook’s "Causes" feature?
If you set up a "Cause" on Facebook to fundraise, you can accept donations, but when those donations come to the Susan G. Komen San Diego Race for the Cure® donation office they are not associated with a particular participant’s fundraising account, and therefore it is difficult for us to give you credit for that donation. We recommend that you fundraise through Facebook using the Boundless Fundraising application we make available for you. To install this application on your Facebook page, log in to your Participant Center at komensandiego/raceforthecure.org and click the Fundraise with Facebook icon.
