Create a Special Event – or Memorial Page

africanamericanNow, you can create your own webpage to organize a fundraising event, celebrate a special occasion or pay an honor or memorial tribute to a family member or friend.  The tribute pages allow you to add photos, your own message, and fundraising goal.  People can donate quickly and easily, and their donations go directly to the San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen®.  Each tribute page also comes with a message board, so visitors on your page may memorialize their visit to your page with a word of encouragement.

Reasons for setting up a page:

  • You are planning an event and want it to benefit Komen:  This is ideal for someone who is running a marathon, planning a basketball game, designing a senior project, or anything in between!  Creating a tribute page is a way to let people know that their donations to your endeavor will go directly to Komen.
  • You want to raise money in honor or memory of a family member or friend:  Many people wish to make gifts in honor or memory of a loved one, and creating an online tribute page in their honor or memory is a great way for many to engage in sharing photos, stories, and words of encouragement.
  • Special occasion:  Are you or someone you know celebrating a birthday, wedding, or anniversary?  In lieu of gifts you may want to ask that donations be made to Susan G. Komen in your name.
