I became involved with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in January 2007 after moving to San Diego. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and is now a proud survivor. My grandmother was a survivor as well. No one should ever have to go through the pain, the battles, all the challenges that my mom, my grandmother, and so many others have experienced. I feel it is my responsibility, with the help of many other compassionate fighters, to do my part in making sure that we, together, can end breast cancer forever.
