I’m one of the lucky ones. I had breast cancer but I had so many other things too. Family – friends – education – insurance – access to care. I cannot imagine the devastation of hearing those words, “you have breast cancer” and not having those friends, family and resources. Though I may not be able to supply the family and friends, through my work with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, I can help channel life-saving education, diagnostics and treatment to women who need them most.
